Slope stabilization in steep areas requires solutions that combine structural safety and efficiency. In this way, high-strength, low-deformation steel meshes anchored to the ground allow the containment of unstable surface material, ensuring stability with minimal intervention on the natural terrain.Additionally, these meshes act as an active cover that redistributes loads and prevents movement. This results in a significant reduction in the risk of rockfalls or surface landslides. Their rapid and versatile installation also makes them an optimal solution for road, mining, and urban projects where the permanent protection of slopes requires swift intervention.

Slope Stabilization for the New City of Morococha, Junín, Peru.
Within the framework of the relocation project for the new City of Morococha, a slope stabilization system was implemented based on the combination of galvanized metal meshes with passive anchors and green geomats. This intervention provided reliable surface containment against unstable blocks and rockfall, enhancing the safety of nearby urban areas. The strategic installation of anchor bolts optimized the efficiency of the system and reduced execution times on site. Additionally, the use of green geomats not only contributed to erosion control but also facilitated the landscape integration of slopes, meeting high environmental standards in applied engineering. The solution proved to be economically competitive compared to other conventional alternatives and suitable for infrastructure projects in growing urban areas.
