To address the challenge of slope erosion control, we implement specific solutions tailored to the terrain conditions and project objectives. Temporary geomats provide initial protection while vegetation takes root; however, permanent geomats ensure long-term stability in areas requiring intervention.
Furthermore, hydroseeding facilitates rapid revegetation with endemic species, and geocells filled with organic material ensure soil containment on steep slopes. This promotes plant growth and reduces runoff. It is important to note that these solutions can be used individually or in combination, depending on the type of erosion and the degree of intervention required by the project.

Slope Revegetation on the Costa Verde, Lima, Peru
Slope Revegetation on the Costa Verde, Lima, Peru
Slope Revegetation on the Costa Verde, Lima, Peru
Along the Costa Verde road corridor, a system of geocells filled with topsoil material was implemented as a technical solution for revegetating slopes located under elevated viaducts, mitigating the visual impact generated by the concrete structures. The three-dimensional design of the geocells allowed for the effective confinement of fertile soil on steep slopes, facilitating the progressive development of vegetation cover.
This intervention not only increased the surface stability of the slopes against erosion processes, but also integrated green areas into the urban landscape, improving the aesthetics of the surroundings and contributing to environmental comfort in one of Lima’s busiest coastal areas.
