Geonet is a synthetic drainage material made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin. Its structure has been specifically designed to transmit fluids uniformly under a variety of field conditions.
Due to its composition and design, geonet ensures efficient and consistent drainage, establishing it as a reliable solution for projects requiring optimal flow control.
Advantages / benefits
Efficient capture of underground flows: The geonet is designed to effectively intercept and capture underground flows.
Fluid conduction: Due to its internal structure, it allows for constant and uniform fluid conduction.
Prevention of saturation of the surrounding soil: By draining excess water, the geonet prevents saturation of the surrounding ground.
High resistance to chemical and biological attacks: Manufactured with high-density polyethylene (HDPE), it offers superior resistance, ensuring high performance in challenging environments.
Applications

Riparian defense of the La Leche and Motupe rivers, Lambayeque, Peru
In the Lambayeque region, drainage geocomposites were implemented as an ideal solution for controlling the water table in the riverbank defense project spanning more than 10 km along the La Leche and Motupe rivers. These materials were installed at the base of the constructed levees, allowing efficient drainage of the subsoil and reducing internal hydrostatic pressure, thereby improving the overall stability of the protective structures.
This solution directly contributed to strengthening flood defenses, ensuring more effective protection for the adjacent agricultural and urban areas.
