Geocomposite for repaving

Geocomposite for repaving

Geocomposite for repaving

The geocomposite for repaving consists of two essential elements: the drainage layer (geonet), responsible for channeling infiltration or percolation water; and the geotextile, which prevents soil particles from being carried toward the drainage layer. This last point is crucial, as it prevents clogging and the resulting loss of flow. These synthetic drains offer versatility, allowing for effective use in both horizontal and vertical applications. In this way, the drainage geocomposite ensures efficient and long-lasting groundwater flow under diverse geotechnical conditions.

Advantages / benefits

  • Effective hydraulic pressure control: Relieves hydrostatic pressures and thrust, contributing to structural stability and water conduction.
  • Material loss prevention: Prevents soil particle entrainment, ensuring the integrity of the adjacent soil.
  • Complementary protection of the waterproofing system: Protects waterproofing systems, preventing mechanical damage from underpressure and preserving their functionality over time.
  • High durability against harsh environments: Resists chemical and biological attacks, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh environmental conditions.

Applications

  • Subdrainage of underground flows
  • Capture and conduction of underground flows
  • Reinforced soil walls
  • Water table lowering
  • Sanitary landfills
  • Leaching pads
  • Water dams
  • Canals
  • Tunnels
  • Roads
