These are prefabricated systems consisting of open trapezoidal channels made of HDPE or corrugated high density polyethylene pipes, with internal diameters of up to 60 inches, designed to efficiently enclose open channels. In addition, they allow for the safe transport and handling of water from its source to consumption points, irrigation systems, or other applications, optimizing water supply through a durable, fast-installation, and low-maintenance solution.

With the objective of replacing traditional solutions and adopting more efficient and reusable methods, a network of open channels lined with prefabricated elements such as Smartditch and T-Canal was implemented. This technology was selected due to its ease of installation, high hydraulic efficiency, and ability to be reused in future interventions.
The solution proved especially effective in areas with difficult access, where the use of conventional concrete posed significant logistical and operational challenges. By incorporating this prefabricated channelization system, a more agile execution was achieved, with reduced costs and shorter timelines, substantially improving water resource management within the area of operation of Grupo TDM.
