Base Stabilization with Asphalt Emulsions

The stabilization of granular layers using slow-setting asphalt emulsions enables a comprehensive improvement of their physical and mechanical properties. This solution increases the structural stability of the treated layer, enhances densification, and preserves integrity under moisture-induced conditions. As a result, a stronger and more durable base is achieved, well suited to withstand demanding traffic loads and climatic conditions, thereby reinforcing the overall performance of the pavement structural system.
