In this project, asphalt mixtures containing 15% reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) were used, strategically incorporated into the asphalt mix to efficiently improve the construction process and reduce the use of non-renewable materials.
Through technically controlled dosing, compliance with structural standards was ensured, guaranteeing adequate functional performance and alignment with sustainable practices in road infrastructure.
Milling works were carried out prior to the application of the new asphalt wearing surface on the Panamericana Sur in Lima, Peru. This process allowed the integration of RAP as an input in the production of recycled asphalt mixtures, promoting a more efficient, sustainable solution aligned with the project’s technical criteria.
