This project was executed in Lima along a section concessioned by Rutas de Lima, where a discontinuous asphalt mixture type SMA 8 was implemented for the first time, recognized for its high performance on high-traffic roadways. To enhance its properties, stabilizing additives, adhesion promoters, warm mix technologies, and polymer-modified asphalts were used, achieving an integrated solution that strengthens the durability, adhesion, and mechanical behavior of the pavement.
