As part of the High-Andean road corridor project in the department of Cusco, asphalt prime coat works were executed using Primetec® asphalt emulsion for priming. This intervention properly conditioned the base surface, significantly improving adhesion with the upper pavement layers. This solution was selected for its ability to form a uniform mix at ambient temperature, enabling efficient application even in areas with difficult access and variable climatic conditions such as those present in the high-Andean region.
Asphalt prime coat works were carried out on the Cora Cora roadway, located in the department of Cusco, using Primetec® asphalt emulsion for priming. This stage was essential to ensure adequate adhesion between the base layer and the wearing course in a geographically demanding environment.
The use of Primetec® emulsion made it possible to optimize curing times and facilitate continuity of the construction process, ensuring an efficient intervention fully compatible with the climatic conditions of the area.
